Shinigami Eyes Permissions

B has an ability called the "Shinigami Eyes", which allows him to see the true name of any human, as well as their exact length of lifespan expressed in numerical format.
B likes to use these to their full potential, so anyone who interacts with him in person needs to fill this out because what he sees could instantly color his interactions with them! They could also be used to help him kill or hurt other characters, although it is fairly unlikely that he would, but worth saying anyway.
Therefore, if you could answer these handy questions:
Is your character human? If so, he should be able to see their name and lifespan, unless your character wears a mask, in which case carry on. If your character is not human, the eyes will not work on them. If they are dubiously human but sort of not, like say, the immortals from Baccano, feel free to tell me your preference of whether or not the eyes should work.
Any abnormalities that could be picked up by the eyes? For example, if they use an alias contrary to their true name, or if they'd have an off-the-charts lifespan because they're a semi-human with crazy life powers, or whatever. It's also worth noting that no lifespan appears at all for users of the Death Note.
Would you prefer to limit interactions? B can use his eyes on characters if they're human. If you don't want that to happen you should limit your interactions with him to audio/text because he can't turn them off! Let me know if I need to accommodate that!
Any questions?
And that's all! Thanks!

Date: 2013-03-19 11:53 pm (UTC)Is your character human? Yes. Technically, he's already dead, as he was shot through the heart, but an evil magic grail gave him a new black heart made of evil mud, and he has another ten years to "live".
Any abnormalities that could be picked up by the eyes? Just the aforementioned mud heart.
Would you prefer to limit interactions? Kirei prefers to use text anyway.
Kristoph Gavin:
Is your character human? Yes, a perfectly ordinary human.
Any abnormalities that could be picked up by the eyes? His remaining lifespan is somewhat short, as he's due to be executed back home.
Would you prefer to limit interactions? I have no problem interacting with him.

Date: 2013-03-20 02:28 pm (UTC)As for her lifespan, she is human, but it's... uh. Complicated. I think what's easiest and/or most likely is showing something like blurred out or unreadable, on account of whatever it might have originally interfered with by being made a l'Cie instead. Her soul is bound in a magical contract: if she completes a certain task, she turns into crystal; if she doesn't, it's transforming into a horrible monster fueled by grief, regret, and fury instead.
Long story short she's either immortal or, if you count the monster 'choice' as a death, has a super-short lifespan left. Back home she's destined for the immortality schtick by other means anyway, but... I haven't yet decided what to do with her in-game here. So...

Date: 2013-03-21 08:45 pm (UTC)Is your character human? Yes and no. I don't really think Primo counts as a human anymore, he doesn't consider himself human and he certainly doesn't exist as one either even if he appears in human form. I don't remember right now if it's ever stated how Shinigami Eyes work on Shinigami, but however they work on them it should be how they work on Primo.
Any abnormalities that could be picked up by the eyes? As I said I don't remember if a human with the eyes can see a Shinigami's name or lifesan, in case they can see either or both of them: I headcanon that Primo's name is hard to read as if two names are written one on top of the other, with patience one could make out the names of Keiichi Maebara and Primo (it's not a nickname case as both are his name, it's just that Keiichi is a name he hasn't used in thousands of years). About the lifespan it would be crazy high, so high it doesn't seem to decrease, as he's a literally eternal existence.
I hope this made sense and serves for something ^^'UU

Date: 2013-03-30 07:33 am (UTC)If not and you think they should work on him anyway, maybe it can be the kind of thing where he can see the name and not the lifespan, such as with Death Note users. In that case though, I think he'd still only see one name or the other. The shinigami eyes are designed to be used along with the Death Note, and even though B doesn't have one it's not like it'd make sense that you could write in two names like that. So yeah, if he should still see something then I'd prefer it if you picked one. Thanks! :D
